The members of Babubagan club gives lot of empahasis on cultural activities. Club has got a very strong Ladies committee who are instrumental in most of the club’s activities. SAJANI a cultural magazine containing all elements of contemporary period is earning a lot of fame from every corner. Already seven edition have been published and the eight edition is going to be published on 3rd August 2010 where our Ladies committee has organized a cultural show at Madhusudan Manch. Smt Ruma Chatterjee has successfully edited the last six versions. We have participated in a cultural show organized by TV channel 24 ghanta for three consecutive years. Once we became champion and two ties Runners-up. In 2009 Mr.Suman Chatterjee was awarded with man of the tourment for splendid performance. We organize special events on 23 rd January to commemorate Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose every year. On that day we organize Shishu utkarsha samman , a day full of joy with 500 children participating. Sit and draw competition cultural competition, go as you like followed by prize distribution UTKARSHA SAMMAN is the highlight of that day,not only children from our society comes, there are participation of children from different orphanage even children from the other part of the society.
Every year we observe Independence Day and have cultural show in regards to the Independence of our country.
The Annual Social Function of Babu Bagan club was held on 3rd.August,10 at Madhusudan mancha, dhakuria with great enthusiasm. The entire programme was organized by the Ladies Committee of the club.the opening song was presented by the Lady Members,then “Anuranan” a Cultural group paid homage to kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore with Rabindra sangeet to commemorate the 150th. Birth Anniversary to the great poet.Thereafter the eight th edition of Sajani was published bySmt. Suchitra Bhattacharya, Sri Kalyan Majumder and others. The most attractive part of the programme was a drama entitled” Chalo Patal Tuli”enacted by the famous Charbak group. On the stage were present eminent personalities like Smt. Suchitra bhattacharya,Sri Kalyan Majumder, Sri Roopchand Kundu,Sri Aloke Chattopadhyay, sri Saibal Chakrovorty and others. The president and the general Secretary thanked all for their cooperation to make the programme successful.The entire programme was conducted by Smt. Ruma chatterjee.
